[TOPIC] 2 [Stats] N=60 | Source=../data/original/reviews.tab (1) This is a beautiful coastal area, fabulous views down to the beaches. The Temple and surrounding grounds are very peaceful & definitely worth the visit (2) It certainly is an attraction to be seen but be warned about the crowd. The temple is beautiful and it depends on what tide you visit as well. The ocean can be strong, hitting the rocks surrounding the temple. Lots of shops and places to eat around.\n\nWe ended up eating out at a warung on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean. View was stunning but the food was well overpriced, small and tasteless. We paid over 500.000 for poor grilled fish, salad and vegetables!\n\nBeautiful but definitely a tourist trap so be warned! (3) This place is stunning but the size of the crowds make it very uncomfortable. During low tide the the newly exposed floor is filled with people. \n\nThe best views of the temple are during sunset and it's best to view it from one of the bars on the cliff. This will allow you to take a beautiful photo of the sunset. (4) a must if you are in bali. we made sure to visit this temple by the sea and got to witness a hindu ceremony. did not wait for the sunset view as we preferred daylight view to get better photos. amazing sight to behold. (5) From internet and tv I expect much more to see than this!!!!!\nTicket 50.000 rup.per person and include the sarong.\nThe view is great but the temple????\nWhere is really the temple!!!!\nThe photos are from drones and you try to find the temple.\nAlso be careful with your personal belongs, stolen my hat there. (6) Great looking temple located on rock island that is attached to mainland by land bridge that has been washed out underneath like a sea cave. Recommend to see if not seen before. Great cliffs with big waves breaking against them. (7) This temple is actually the one present on 50,000 rupiah bank note.\nVery nice to see and pleasant, and no scam, which is worth to mention.\n\nThere is also a restaurant nearby of you happen to drop by around lunch time. (8) as with most emples in Bali they are old and beautiful but charge to get into a house of worship......... (9) Only an hour away, it was amazing place to visit. Lots of market shops and cheap shopping. We went across to the temple, and got blessed, but you can not go to the top. They only use it to pray or for ceremonies. (10) The place is very nice with stunning view of the sea. It was not low tide when we visited, that's why I can't say much about the temple. But the view of the sea from the walkway is spectacular. (11) Spent 2 hours at this temple enjoying the views and learning a little more about the history behind it. They have many market stalls which offered goods at very reasonable prices. It was quite busy the day we went and it rained but they give you complimentary umbrellas to shelter you from the rain and sun. (12) This place I'd amazing relax on the grounds of the temple, take in the views of even hire a paddle boat or go on a power boat trip around the lake then grab a feed at the restaurant (13) As the name suggests, it's best to come here before sunset - you will see the sun setting right behind the temple, located on a small island right by the beach. Beautiful, to say the least. Definitely worth a visit. (14) We travelled about 1 1/2 hours by car from Ubud to get there. The weather was not great with clouds around. Sarongs for everyone (which you can hire) plus a donation (about $2AUD per person).\nFirst temple is an easy walk and has the Heavens Gate. We were lucky enough to witness a marriage ceremony. \nThe second temple is about 1.5klm up hill so if you are not fit get one of the motorbikes for about $2. \nThis is where the real work starts. The 1700 steps up to the top are steep and will work your legs. There are people selling drinks on the way up and places to rest. I one recommendation is do not give up!!! The views over the island are magnificent and the real Bali. \nMonkeys near the top are curious but we had no problems. (15) Excellent picture clicking opportunity. Pleasant weather. You will feel refreshed. This place has a unexplainable aura and you will definitely love it. My 1.5 yo loved the garden area in the temple premises (16) Expect romantic views with lots of ornaments in a very nice water landscape. Like us, ideally you stay in the embedded hotel, but a visit during day time is also worth a detour. (17) The sample is a beautiful place well worth the trip like most all the other temples. But like most all the other temples it's almost perfect. This is mainly because of the crowds that frequent this place on weekends. If you can get there during the week it's a little better but still just too many people. Bali in general is being overrun (18) This is one of the \must visit\" place. We went there to witness the sunset and it was beautiful, an amazing view. The place was little crowded owing to the popularity. Outside the temple there is a small market to buy souvenirs. Overall a good place to visit." (19) It so peaceful place, you can view all the island from the temple. worthed to visit, and provided your self with sarong (20) It's a must see when you travel to Bali. With a great view it's worth the trip. It's not located near the city and the road was small and crowded. You wouldn't be able to go in to the temple but you could go around it. The sunset at the background was incredible. But beware the location is full of monkeys so hang on to ur stuff or just leave any loose materials in the car or bus unless u want to chase a monkey. (21) Been to the temple twice and it always amazes me. The ambience is so peaceful and temple is surrounded by gorgeous, mountainous scenery. Definitely a must-see place in Bali. (22) Very nice and very cheap visit. There's not much to see, as balinese temples are not so fancy (as catholic churches, for example), but the views from the cliffs are breathtaking. Be careful with the monkeys. They will steal your hat, sunglasses, cameras and anything that's lose around your body. Seriously! (23) This is a beautiful temple located at the sea. Should definitely be on your to do list when visiting Bali! (24) Because temple in the cliff is super. You could see how beautiful temple with view such as cliff and sea (25) It's the most famous temple in Bali and its die to the stunning background of lake and mountain behind it.\nThe actual temple is much smaller in height that it's actually shown in picture, I was quite surprised by seeing it nevertheless it's a beautiful temple with stunning views and surroundings. Take some time to explore the premises and surroundings.\nAlways crowded with tourists, if you are lucky you will see background in a clear day, it's mostly cloudy.\nWhat I did not like was there is a mosque at some distance with loud loud speakers and even in temple we can hear it clearly.\n\nA must visit while in Bali. (26) We’ve been here before, but it’s such a magical place to come back. There are two temples one located on the sides of the cliffs and the other in the ocean tidal area. Just imagining how they built this facility is something to ponder. If you are fortunate to arrive at low tide, you can literally walk out to the base of the main temple. \n\nThis is a favorite destination for visitors, so expect crowds. Pay attention to the signs about where to walk or not walk…some have gotten hurt not doing so.\n\nThis is one of Bali's best attractions, with the beautiful temples with the ocean backdrop; this is truly worth the drive to see. (27) Visited the temple with friends and over all it was a nice experience, from the long trip to get there to the beautiful view of the temple at the lake. (28) Located high in the hills, this beautiful temple straddles a large lake. There's lovely walks around the gardens and so many photo opportunities. Quite a popular attraction so it can get quite busy.\nYou can also do some water activities and hire small boats or pedallos (29) We liked the temple, the lake and the setting are very impressive. Its a busy attraction though and there isn't a huge amount to see so if time pressed and tight on budget I would save the 50k entry fee (30) We just enjoyed the beautiful scenery but we couldn't enter the temple itself. But this is such a must seen place (31) Nice place about an hours place from kiya Bali. Temple in the sea offers panoramic views and s chance to get wet and to many many FB selfies\n\nWe went in high tide so could not visit the temple as we were not told about it. Only Hindus are allowed to pray in the temple and go after 3 pm (low tide) but it gets very crowded\nTrip in the day will take you through a busy bazar with enough to shop and even without going inside temple it is worth it (32) This temple was by far the most incredible temple I saw in Bali. Climbing to the top lead to the most impressive views, and was not touristy as all. The walk and the climb was enchanting with the sounds of bells ringing, and the sweet smell of jasmine and plumeria, lots of butterfly, swallows, and monkeys. We hired a guide, who was incredible knowledgeable whom lived in the village beneath the mountain, his reverence for the temple and the mountain was true devotion. Our 3 hour tour turned into 6 as we were so lost in presence and enjoyed our selves so much, we truly felt like true pilgrims. Kemp u yang was truly a mystical place I will never forget! (33) We visited as a group of 7, including 3 young children. At the entrance you can get a guide for $100,000 ($10au) - our guide was worth it!! Very detailed in explaining the history and details of the temple. There's a fair few stairs - and not pram friendly, but we survived! (34) A great sunset with the temple in the foreground - lots of other tourists and lots of trinket stores (35) Easily one of the best temples i've seen in my life. I was able to get a view of the temple just about when the sun was about to set.\nThere was one thing which i found a little absurd here, before you enter the main temple there are a few priest who actually sprinkle little water on you and put some rice on your forehead (Its only then can you enter the temple). They do ask you to donate once they complete that task too. I was all set to get right up to the top of the temple after 'the blessing' just when i realized that they barricaded the area after only 5-10 steps! and i couldnt understand the deal of the so called blessing when you just have to climb 5-10 steps and see nothing from there! (36) This is a very popular attraction for tourists but to be honest we never found it particular interesting and the temples were not that incredible. The views from the steep cliffs are really beautiful, but that was the highlight for us (37) We visited the place at around 4 PM and were there till the sunset. The view from the cliff was really cool and the location of the temple right next to the sea offers great photographic opportunity. The place is a bit touristy. The entry to the temple was not allowed. Overall a nice experience. (38) I visited te temple at around 5pm and witnessed the sunset .. it was so amazing!Unfortunately it was too crowded and I couldn't make much photos. There are actually two temples in the same area, and you pay 60,000 IDR as entrance fee. I went there directly with a motorbike driver (bobby +62 0 819-3305-1669) for around 350,000 IDR going and coming back from my hotel. \nAdvice to visit it at sunset time (6 pm). (39) Part of a day tour, Mustika, our tour guide, and Surya, our wonderful driver, of Destination Asia helped us visit this floating temple on the lake. \n\nAs there was no high tide on Lake Beraton, we did not see the 'floating temple' effect. \n\nNevertheless, the mandir is an historic mandir to see on this beautiful lake. The landscape enhances the calmness and beauty of the mandir. \n\nHowever, try to visit early on a weekday as the area does get busy. The area is popular with both locals and tourists. \n\nMustika did a wonderful job explaining the significance of the temple and its history. (40) The fees to enter the temple is 20 rupiah but I think that it was definitely worth this small amount as the view of the cliff and the beach nearby was picture-perfect! I really enjoyed how nature was just a few doorsteps away and there were monkeys rampant in that area so we had to avoid some areas as they had a couple of money (most 5) However, the sunset we caught was absolutely amazing! (41) This temple was fantastic. There are great opportunities for photos. Very serene place with gorgeous views. (42) Well worth a visit really nice temple on the water. Beautifully maintained gardens ceremonies going on plenty to see. (43) Despite the large number of visitors this temple was both serene & spectacular. And it is understandable why it receives so many visitors. This is the temple featured on the IDR50,000 note and it is probably featured in just about every tourist brochure on Bali that has ever been printed! And all for good reason.\n\nThe temple grounds are quite large and the gardens, like most places that we visited in Bali, are very well laid out and maintained.\n\nThe final part of the temple, down on the lake is what everyone is here to see and to photograph. Wayan our driver & guide explained the cultural, historic & spiritual significance and he also mentioned that the maintenance of the grounds is greatly improved from what it used to be.\n\nFrankly, the lake with the mountains behind would be spectacular enough but the stunning temple on the bank of the lake takes it to another level altogehter.\n\nThis was by far the most memorable site visited in our 10 day holiday. And being set high in the mountains it is much cooler than the coastal areas.\n\nIt was a cloudy day when we visited and our guide said that it is better when it is clear, but don't be put off by the weather - it is worth the visit anyway. (44) we visited this temple for the first time back in 2003 and visited again this year, we were impressed with the changes, in 2003 there were hawkers everywhere, hassling you, this time there are markets everywhere and no hassling, this time we got to walk right down to the temple because the tide was out, which we enjoyed, well worth a visit... (45) I went there with my wife last year for a holiday. It is a very nice place, great view, nice temple. But it is not really at the central part of Bali, so you might need a couple of hours to reach this place. Try to go there during daytime, because you won't be able to see anything much at night.\nThere's a lot of restaurants around the area as well, so if you are thirsty or hungry you could just sit down and relax for a while to enjoy the scenery. A nice place to be, definitely a must if you are visiting Bali. (46) We only viewed this beautiful temple from our hotel and from golf course. Stunning, mystical and beautiful watching the waves crashing in from sunrise to darkness. Amazing. (47) View from this temple is breath taking, and we absolutely loved it. You can walk around, monkeys will come and play (they're really cute) and the cliff view is unforgetable. Just don't go during sunset because, even though it's beautiful, traffic will screw your dinner plans at the end ... (48) Our group decided to take the newbies and kids back here to show them the temple and surroundsing art market and eateries. We previously stayed at Pan Pacific Nirwana Resort which backs onto this beautiful temple you can walk to day or night from the epath & tour guide at resort. It was thanks to that little gem of a guy we found the most amazing markets and stalls just after some awesome sunset pics. This tri we went when tide was out and was shown the snakes in the caves or rock face. The stairs down were very minimal to some attractions and i did not need CPR frrom the decline or walk back :) The temple is picturesque and makes some lovely photo shoot from up above and on the temple. (49) Temple on the water, very beautiful. Only problem is that when we went, it was so busy with tourists that you couldn't get around with bumping into someone. \n\nTry to get there early and I am sure it would be worthwhile. We enjoyed the view of the temple from one of restaurants overlooking it. If in the area, a must see. (50) This temple was magical and definitely worth a visit. There are definitely rules you need to follow when you enter the temple but they are posted at the entrances so you can't miss it! There are locals on site who can take pictures for you and will call out your number when it's your turn. (51) We came just in time for the sunset which was beautiful. Lots of tourists around. There are cute shops and little food vendors around. We were not able to get into the actual temple, but could come pretty close. Though the sunset was amazing, I'd recommend coming a little earlier to enjoy the view. After it became dark, it was hard to see anything. I enjoyed my time here. We probably were only here for a couple hours total. (52) It is really something to have build this temple in the sea. However dont expect to spend a day here. It is nice to have seen it with your own eyes, but a picture would do the same. Very crowded with tourists. (53) Place is easy to find, you can let your car on two parking lots for 3000 IDR. We met there a local guy who offered us to be our guide, but we just wanted to spend a few moments in peace and silent. Temple is beautiful, you can take a walk in one of water \basins\" and watch carps or just sit on bench and enjoy silence, peace and nice garden." (54) Visited the temple with friends and over all it was a nice experience, from the long trip to get there to the beautiful view of the temple at the lake. (55) Easily the best temple we visited in Bali. Unfortunately it was rather cloudy when we went so didn’t get to enjoy the spectacular views. Not as busy as some of the other main temples on the island.\nIf you want to go straight to the top after temple 2 you can head straight up missing out T3,4 and 5. The views are somewhat limited but it’s very relaxing up there. 1840 steps in total was a great workout. (56) We visited the temple during our one day tour of Bali and I'm glad that it was part of the itinerary as it's a beautiful location.\n\nMy wife had heard good things about the temple and I have to say it doesn't disappoint with its great view no matter what angle you look it. There is also the Garden that surrounds the area and even that looks great from all sides. You'll need to pay an administration fee as with all tourist attractions in Bali but it isn't that expensive at the end of the day. \n\nThere can be quite a crowd however but they usually do iconic photos and continue on so you'll be able to get good views and photos if you're willing to be patient and there's no reason you shouldn't be as you're at a sacred ground.\n\nThere are areas you can have lunch at however I'll comment on them through there restaurant but there is a few to choose from and they seem to all provide a good meal, but they can be expensive due to the tourist coming through.\n\nOverall, it is definitely worth the trip to see this great temple and you'll be glad you took the time to come view it. (57) I was in Bali with my family and our guide suggested we see this temple because our family is Hindu. This is one of the most beautiful temples that I have ever seen in my life. The temple is on top of hill and there is beautiful walk way on the cliff. I would strongly recommend anyone who goes to Bali to go see this, it does not matter what your religion is. This is simply a beautiful building with stunning views. (58) Crowded but worth to see. The temple located at lake Bratan, that's why it has really good view. There are restaurants that you can sit and enjoy the lake view and the temple. (59) One of our favourite temples despite not being able to walk around the temple itself. Great views at sunset. Would recommend visiting when it is low tide as one of the major attractions is being able to walk out and drink holy water and be blessed for 10,000 IDR. Gets crowded at sun set so don't expect to get the perfect camera shot with no-one in. As with any tourist attraction in Asia you have to walk past the stalls selling t-shirts etc. Toilets aren't free either - about 3000 IDR. (60) A very small fee to enter (like most temples in Bali) lots of stalls and places to get a drink on the way down. Lots of temples to view but its the view of the sea crashing against the rocks that is really beautiful.Lots of local guides available that for a fee will walk around to talk you through everything, we didn't bother as we were happy to wonder and take in the views.
