You can easily spend an hour walking around. Be sure to go beyond the koi pond and explore every corner of the property. (2) The temple is located on the lake Beratan. It's about 1,5 - 2h from Ubud. The temple is stunning, it seems as it flots on the lake, the view of the lake and the mountains is breathtaking. The temple itself is kindda small, but it's part of its charm :) I recommend to take a boat trip around the lake (122K / 4 people), it takes about 15 - 30 minutes, you can take great pictures of the temple and the mountains (without any people on them). We arrived about 11:30 and it wasn't crowded. The entrance fee is 50K each. We got there by car (we rented a car with a driver from one of Ubud's tourist companies (for us it was Pt. Gora Bali Transport on Jl. Arjuna, for 600K/day/3 passengers), during the trip we could see everything we wanted on the way (we went to the second lake, strawberry fields and Jatiluwih), to sum up it was a great trip, money well spend. (3) I thought that this temple was spectacular. The temple is set on a lake and itself and it's surrounds are so intricate and beautiful. There is a lot to take in as there is a garden to walk around as well with many different animal sculptures. No words can do a place like this justice. (4) Beautiful temple, beautiful grounds, wonderful shops. $6 Australian for admission, and worth every cent. Bit of a walk from the drop-off point to the temple, but still a relaxing walk!\n\nA must-see when you're out on a day trip! (5) Please remember that this is a Balinese temple which is used first and foremost by the Balinese people as a place of worship and to hold their ceremonies. We as tourists need to remember this when going to visit. (6) Amazing a must see in a bali yes it is a small and far temple but so worth it!! If you go early you will have the whole space to yourself (7) The temple itself was quite small but it takes a beautiful trek along the side of a mountain (overlooking the sea) to get to it. When we went they were charging 50,000$idr but we've heard in the past they sometimes charge 30,000$ to 80,000$, I guess depending on what month/season. \nWe would still recommend going! (8) The temple offered a very beautiful harmony of nature and human architecture. \nMake sure you check out the cafes atop the cliff for a relaxing view if the temple and the sea. (9) I came here on a day trip from Ubud. Although quite far away, as part of a package tour it was great. \n\nThere isn't a lot to do here, but the view is spectacular. A friend and I hired some little paddle boat/swans, and although they're probably for kids we found it was a really fun way to see the temple a bit better.\n\nDespite the crowds, the lake and temple have a really peaceful feel. (10) While we missed the sunset due to a lot of cloud cover, we still got to enjoy the beautiful view. \n\nThey say the temple looks like a ship floating on the water at high tide which I would travel back to see as it was low tide when I was there. (11) There is a charge to visit here, but it was only a few pounds and it has been laid out for you to spend an afternoon here. There is huge parking area and then almost a whole town full of shops and places to eat and wander around within the grounds itself. The temple is lovely for photos and you can go to foot of it for a blessing, but cannot enter temple itself. Worth stopping for drinks or food to admire the views (12) what a place people. the scenery is so beautiful. you can just sit for hours together. we were not allowed inside the temple, but the scenery was just breathtaking. wow wow wow (13) A definite go! Cool breeze, beautiful landscapes. And when the ride is low you can walk to the temple. You can receive a blessing at the base (giving a tip of course) but you can climb up into temple. (14) beautiful temple with amazing views, we loved the way the temple looked over the ocean with the stunning water in the background. just be aware of the tourist traps and upped market prices (15) Amazing temple built on the Ocean.\nAdvised to go during sunset.\nAmazing Bali with its traditions.\n:-) (16) I loved this spot. Have a stroll around the gardens and rocks, then walk up the hill to the restaurants, order a drink and a snack, and watch the sunset behind the temple. A vendor out the front is selling small green balls rolled in coconut and served in banana leaves. Try them, they are delicious. (17) The views here are spectacular. Single entry fee with no one harassing you for extras. There is some lovely grasses areas where we sat for lunch and enjoyed the ocean breeze.\nTry and get your timing right with the tides to be able to walk out to the temple it self. (18) Beautiful temple in a beautiful setting. It's certainly one of the iconic temples in Bali and one that should not be missed. It is simply a gorgeous place. Luckily we went in the middle of the day in February (right before it rained), and it was not overly crowded. Definitely a must-see when in Bali. (19) One of the best temple destinations in Bali. The location of this place is so spacious and beautiful that many places of selfie are nice. The parking lot is very wide and we were confused to find our driver. Before entering the tourist site, there are many nice souvenir shops and the price is affordable. (20) Located in a beautiful setting! On the cliffs, 2 temples there...\nBy low tide you can walk to the temple for closer pics, but not go in which is the downside...was hoping to see the inside.\nBut really beautifull setting and surroundings...worth it! (21) Once you have passed the commercial area between the car park and the garden areas running along the coastline around the temple it is very picturesque. It was high tide and not around sunset so we could not get to the temple and missed the best time of day to see it but we still enjoyed the visit. (22) A very nice temple, where again is very hot. You need a sun cream and umbrella. During the day the temple is not covered in water and you can walk around. There is holy water, you can drink, but need some small money for donation. Take your camera for nice pictures. Here you can come to see the sun rise or the sunset, perfect spot. (23) a tiring 2hrs journey by car. once reached there, lots of cafes and souvenir shops leading all the way to the seaside. there are hotels there too. good for who wants to view the spectacular sunset and the beauty of the temple by the sea. It was featured in the top 10 best place to view sunset... too bad didnt make my way to cross to the other side on the temple because of the high tide.. Will visit again (24) We went at sunset - it was heaving with tourists crawling over everything. Noisy, dirty people with millions of selfie sticks and queues.... the temple itself seems beautiful and would probably be lovely to visit at another time. (25) We visited this afternoon and we're very lucky to come during the bi annual religious festival. Traditional Balinese music, traditional dressed parishioners, families picnicking etc. A really lovely atmosphere and while the high tide meant we couldn't visit the main temple, what a view of the wave shaped coastline. A lovely family experience. (26) Entrance fee is 40 thousand rupies. It is a nice walk, but really nothing special. You cannot actually go to the temple, just walk beneath it. Nice view of the sea, but wouldnt be sorry if I missed this attraction. A lot of shops around if you want to buy suvenirs.
