(1) one of an incredible temple in Bali. Tanah Lot temple located at the sea of Tabanan. this place just 30mnt\nfrom airport, but will be one hour due to traffic jam...
(2) Tanah Lot is one of icon Bali and must visit list if come to Bali. There the sacred Hindu temple to worship Balinese Sea God sits on the large formation rock on the offshore and been build abtout 16th century.\nBetter time to visit temple is in the morning or when it is low tide, so can reach the temple and walking closer to the temple. Sunset time also good to see the sunset scenery and dancing performance. \nStill in the area there a bridge stone with hole under and famous call as “ Batu Bolong”
(3) Tanah Lot is a temple definitely worth visiting even if you tend to avoid crowds. I found the whole history about Nirartha pretty interesting and was also impressed by the views. \n One thing kind of got on my nerves and namely the fact that you have to get purified in order to enter the temple. Still, I found it fascinating from the outside :) \np.s. wandering around, coffee fans might accidentally bump into a small spot where they can try fruit fox coffee.
(4) We went by scooter yesterday at 9am from Canggu in the pouring rain. The good part is we missed the crowds. Took about half an hour by scooter. Good cheap souvenir shops nearby - some people might say they are capitalizing on the Tannah lot trade but when you can buy all your sarongs for family for just $3 each why not? The temple and the crashing waves were spectacular and we received a blessing from the monks and bathed in the spiritual water. Enjoyed the journey, but I just don't know if I would go when there are a thousand people there - ( a few hundred was enough for us when we left at 10am )
(5) Tanah Lot holds the honour of being the most photographed temple in Bali. Built on a single rock, the sea facing temple sees high and low tides wash the rocky bed everyday. Believed to be one of the guardians of sea, Tanah Lot Temple is located on the outskirts of South Bali. The temple entry fees is 60,000 IDR per person. We were lucky to witness the cultural procession when we reached the premises. Viewing sunsets here would be one of the best views of your life time. \n\nNon residents are not allowed to enter the main shrine. A snake, said to be the guardian god, rests in the cave nearby for which they charge 150,000 IDR. Those who get to see the snake are said to be lucky. I stayed away from the cave and made peace with watching the sunset. \n\nIts a view to die for!
(6) We visited tanah lot early in the morning on a Monday to try and avoid the reported crowds. It was already a little busy by 9.30 am and I could see how it could get too busy very easily. We visited at high tide and so couldn't walk over to tanah lot itself but got some lovely photos. Again we could see why others may want to come at sunset as the view would be extra special. We also saw the other temples within the grounds including Batu Bolong temple on a rock with an arch which I felt was more impressive. We also walked around the gardens, where we saw a man with a snake touting for pictures. The route to the temple from the car park makes you walk through the market stalls but if you turn right as soon as you go through the large gateway you can avoid some this. They also charge for toilets in the complex but they were free in the car park when we visited. We also had to pay an extra 5,000rp for the car we travelled in on top of the 30,000rp each entrance fee. We were given a leaflet which was helpful to identify the different sites and were also informed that the entrance price will rise to 60,000rp each on 01/10/16.\n\nStill definitely worth a visit, compared to other temples!
(7) We visited tanah lot in april 2019...we think this beach is one of the best beach in bali... you can see a beautiful beach and you can buy some cheaper souvenir...
(8) The pictures show a remote temple, linking the land (tanah) and the sea (lot). The reality is somewhat different. When you enter the complex in the late afternoon, you pass through streets and streets of shops, stalls and restaurants. There are even a couple of hotels. Despite that the atmosphere is imbued with the traditional Balinese politeness and calm. Yes, traders ply their wares, but with none of the pushiness one encounters in so many other eastern countries. There is more than one temple to admire, although entry is not permitted to non Hindi. The best viewpoint is by going up a path to the west, where there is a string of little warung and, beyond them, a well manicured golf course. Enjoy a beer while waiting for the sun to set. Very well worth the journey.
(9) Beside all that already has been correctly written. Tannah Lot is a must for a memorable sunset in Bali and a lot of nice pictures for your album. But don't expect to find a silent place. Thousands of indonesian and international tourists like to share your experience. After strolling along hundreds of shops and lowcost restaurants you will be rewarded like all others with a breathtaking view on the temple on the cliff you can't enter. Be aware of the at least half an hour you need from the entry of the park to the view points. Some of the best with a lot of small coffee houses and restaurants wait for you at the terrasse on the left hand side of the temple.
(10) When you research Bali, one of the most iconic tourist attractions is Tanah Lot Temple. A 11th century temple, it is one of the 7 Great water temples of Bali perched on a giant stone in the Indian Ocean. The legend of a Hindu Prophet who slept on the stone and its resident guards of Sea Snakes adds a primal romance to the place. No question I was gonna visit here and watch the sunset for myself.\n\nTraveling from my hotel in Sanur I left around 3 p.m. with a expectation of arriving in 45 minutes, but, I soon learned that traffic through Sanur to Tanah Lot's park was abit more involved than I expected. Narrow two lane road and lots of traffic doubled the time giving me about an hour to look around before sunset. Arriving at Tanah Lot you pay an entry fee and then proceed into a park style grounds. Local vendors and fancy western shops such as \Ralph Lauren\" are inside. Walking on down the cobblestone street brings you to the Indian Ocean and the powerful surf crashing against the boulders and cliff side. If your a photographer and want to get the best shots, get there early and walk along the shoreline to the outside cliffs facing back to the west. Be warned, large, large crowds will gather near the temple and many other photographers will jockey for position along the rocky shoreline. Arriving early will avoid any problems in finding the composition your looking for.\n\nSo, you want some trinkets? Some prayers? Or, do you want to watch one of the coolest and most Epic sunsets you'll never forget?? Make the trek along the shoreline and frame the silhouette of the Temple against the Indian Ocean's western sky. Wait,,, watch,,, and listen... Smell the salt air and feel the breeze from the crashing surf kiss your skin. Your looking at a structure that has been around for almost 1000 years on the Island of the Gods... The colors, the sounds, the smells,,, its an Epic moment as you pay witness to Sundown at Tanah Lot...."
(11) A friend told me \it's mega touristic but you just can't skip it\" and he was 100% correct. From the parking lot to the temple you walk over a tourist market. We visited Tanah Lot on a cloudy day. The view of the temple is beautiful with the wild sea around it. It is the most touristic thing I have seen in Bali, yet the merchandisers are not as aggressive as in other places. You can take plenty of pictures with no other people on it because of some rock formations with varying heights. You can walk to the temple to get a blessing which is nice. All-in-all I think we stayed 1 hour before heading back."
(12) Tanah lot is the most beautiful among thousands of temples in Bali .\nperched precariously on tumbling rocks in an outcrop on the crashing waves on a sublime beach one marvels at the builders of this temple for its exotic location ,divinity is personified in such a location and the place is meant for photography with its exotic location specially during sunrise and set .
(13) A unique rock formation, [seems more like man made renovated?] just off the coast of Bali, Indonesia Tanah Lot Temple is a well-known Hindu temple and marvelous place for religious and photo activity. Steeped in the Balinese mythology as one of the seven sea temples. It is nearly 20kms away from Denpasar. It can only be visited during low tide. But even to watch the vibrant sea coast the throngs of visitors of which are purely tourist like me or the local religious folks. Surrounding greens was filled with throngs of family spending joyful time. Heavenly courtyard is filled with earlier generation religious music, which feels the heart with love and solace and brings peace to the troubled mind. Even a Non-Hindu like me can spend hours listening to it. Not only the beautifully decorated stage has its charm, but even the music makers wore colorful traditional dresses and played strange instruments. Many places are forbidden for non-worshipers. The enclosure provides all the essential amenities including prayer offerings. As it is facing west, it will be appropriate to visit the site around sunset. \nI wish I could add photographs.
(14) Taman Lot Temple is at the top of my list of temples to visit in Bali. The reason is simple, its just stunning to see this temple standing on a rock in the Indian Ocean with waves pounding against it. Just across from the main temple there is a jut of land that extends into the ocean with more of the temple complex built upon it. A natural Cove is formed and the waves crashing into the cove are a perfect example of the power of the ocean. There is a lot going on in Tanah Lot including some men taking pictures of people with their giant Anaconda snake. We really had an enjoyable visit to this temple.
(15) If we were staying away from Tanah Lot, I wouldve visited and then been disappointed. But we were staying in the Tanah Lot region so came by to see it and well, it was whatever. Maybe Ive seen way too many temples and sunsets that were far more beautiful and memorable but this felt like a waste of time. Its crowded and obviously, because there are so many local and foreigners visiting, extremely dirty with trash everywhere. \n\nI decided to go early, around 6/7 in the morning, to get a view of it from one of the viewing points and take a couple of pictures but even then, its not great. The place gets so crowded even at that hour. \n\nThere are tons of temples and sunsets that you can see but this is just average unless you feel that it has some significance to you. Its charm of being a lone temple island is not as magical as it sounds.\n\nYou cross the Tanah Lot market on your way and thats worth a visit. \n\nAll in all: 3/10.
(16) We visited Tanah Lot and stopped for a picnic. Tanah Lot is very busy, as another reviewer said it feels more like a tourist attraction than a temple. It is impossible to get a picture without lots of people in it and we went at a non-busy time, I can't imagine how it is at sunset. I would still recommend visiting if staying in Bali, purely because it is an important temple and the history is interesting.
(17) We hired a local taxi driver (50 dollars) for the day who took us to Tanah Lot Temple as well as other places.\nWe arrived around 3.30pm sun still hot and sadly we were not around to see the sunsetting, but driving away you could see the hordes of people travelling to witness the incredible sunset.\nIt is a very busy temple but everyone very friendly as they have gone to see the temples in the sea.\nYou do pay to enter but it is a nominal fee... well worth a visit to see the stunning views.
(18) The Tanah Lot temple in Bali is in a maginificent seaside location. Perched on a rocky area, this monument for the sea god was our last stop on day 1 of our Bali Trip.\n\nThe sunset was magic and we thoroughly recommend this place.
(19) This place is certainly beautiful. Im not sure it warrants a must do recommendation, but a temple perched upon a cliff surrounded by the ocean is certainly beautiful. What is not great is the amount of other people clambering to take pictures. To take in the beauty and relax I recommend visiting the main area before sunset. You can go down along the low rocks and high cliffs taking photos and taking in the views. Before sunset (if that is when you are there) go up to the left where there are a number of shops and restaurants. Go all the way to the end and have a drink or meal at one of the restaurants (the further you go the better in terms of views and quiet). Most people dont venture this far (its not that far) as they are caught up in it all. You can have a drink, a seat and enjoy the sun setting behind the temple. No other view gives you such a view! The sun does not set behind the temple any where else in the Tanah Lot area.
(20) Hi,\n\nThe Tanah Lot temple is located near the Pan Pacific Nirwana Resort (about 10 minutes walk).\n\nThe temple is worth the visit however you cannot enter the temple, and the closest you get is the stairs at the bottom of the \island\".\n\nYou can also only get close at low tide. There are people everywhere, \"official\" photographers and a small number of shops. You don't get hassled that much when walking around the base of the island.\n\nIf you found this review helpful, please leave a \"helpful vote\".\n\nHappy travelling!"
(21) Worth a day or afternoon at the Tanah Lot temple and surrounds. Have a lazy lunch or dinner, lots of restaurants before and inside temple area, do some shopping for all types of souvenirs and explore the temple grounds all in a day/afternoon. The temple becomes an island at high tide so check tide times if you want to walk near the temple, not a swimming area at all. Sunset is beautiful there and worth watching. Best to organise your own driver or transport as taxis are rare in this area (prebook taxi?) or stay a night or 2 at a local hotel, 3-5 stars available
(22) Tanah lot is one of the most beautiful temple in bali. It stand on the top of a small island with so much beauty.\nTo access the temple you will walk through some little souvenir shop. (don't be afraid to bargain). You can also eat there. \nMake sure you do not go there on a rainy day.......
(23) Tanah Lot temple, about 45 minutes from Kuta offers mesmerizing views of temple by the sea with waves hitting the coast, producing beautiful white foam all around. The temple can be accessed by a submerged pathway which is an adventure in itself. There are several lookout points and a beautiful park. I am told by the guide that the place gets full for sunset views by early afternoon. I found couple of photographers with a huge snake if anybody is interested to take pictures with the snake wrapped around the neck. Some visitors were actually interested, but not me. On our way out, there are tourist shops and restaurants, and we decided to have coconut water right from the fruit after a trek in the heat. The attraction fee was about $10 per head, highest of what I have seen in other places of interest, ranging between $4-$9. Needless to say it is one of the most popular spots in the island.
(24) Tanah Lot is better than I could have imagined. The temple is stunning, and you can even get blessed. Beautiful day, it is a must do activity when visiting Bali. I can't believe I didn't visit Tanah Lot until my third trip.... Stunning.
(25) Tanah Lot itself is very picturesque and it is easy to spend a few hours there as there is a small beach with rocks to climb and a market full of the usual Bali trinkets.\nMy problem though is with getting out using any of the online ride share transports. There is a cartel running among the taxi drivers so we were advised to walk away from the temple area and call a car from there. However when we did this and the car arrived it was blocked by someone and not allowed to leave. A London cabbie would have just pulled away but my driver was young and didn't want any trouble. After I had a stand up row with the 'official' blocking the way we were still not moving so I instructed the car to drive on without us and we walked a few km out of the village.\nI was warned but hoped that we could get away with it. All the local businesses are in on the racket, we we dobbed in by a restaurant owner who saw us waiting.\nBali is fantastic but if they want to move their tourist industry on then they have to sort out the transport situation and accept that online cans are now a fact.
(26) Very nice scenery over the Bratan Lake. It's worth the visit.\nCome here early in the morning to avoid most of the tour bus and you will get plenty opportunities to take great photos of this temple.\nThe entry fee is no longer 30 krp but 50 krp since october.\n\nTips : Tanah lot temple (southern bali) is no longer 30 krp but 60 krp since october as well.
(27) I have been to Tanah Lot 3 times.\nJust loved to watch the waves and feel the breeze when im there.\nHad a chance to get blessing by the priest. \nA peaceful and a very scenic place i would say
(28) One of the most popular temples in Bali. Not as nice as the Tanah Lot Temple, but still worth a visit. The complex is vast, with lots of spots offering a nice view. You can buy a ticket to see \kecak\" - traditional dance taking place during sunset. Sarung is available to borrow for free. \n\nBeware the monkeys!"
(29) We always had good time everytime we went here. Beautiful place, beautiful view. There is a special culinary you only could find at Tanah Lot. Fruit salad Tanah Lot, mix of peanut, palm sugar, some chili, salt and many kinds of fruits. So fresh and yummy.
(30) The sun set there is one of the most beautiful in Bali, you can sit down and relax for the awesome view. Tanah lot Temples its unique and have the story.
(31) Love coming to Tahah Lot, Ive been lucky enough to visit at different tide levels which gives a totally different experience and amazing photo opportunities, you need to be prepared to fight the hordes of tourist and be willing to wait for the right moment to take a picture, lovely walk over to the right allows great views of the cliffs and if you lucky like we were there will be a couple of surfers hitting the waves and creating a little excitement.\n\nWell worth the trip.
(32) Really nice at sunset. The many restaurants are reasonably priced, so grab a table before sunset and enjoy a meal. Note that there is an entry feel of ~$5 USD per person to get in to Tanah Lot.
(33) •\tThe best time to visit Tanah Lot is in the evening, an hour before sunset to capture the most magnificent sunset views.\n\n•\tIf you wish to avoid crowds, especially during high tourist season, suggest you to visit in the morning. \n\n•\tAvoid visiting during lunchtime, as it usually gets too hot at this time.
(34) Very nice place.\nIt's worth to get up early and be at the temple before 7am.\n\nIn the morning it's still quite and not many visitors on site.\n\nTo get to the holy spring you don't have to wait in the row.\nIn the evening you'll have a fabolous view at the Restaurants on the cliffs to Tanah Lot and the sunset behind.
(35) Tanah Lot literally means the place where the earth meets the sky. This temple is one of the most famed Balinese temple. As such, it gets quite crowded during sunset, again for it is famed for picturesque sunsets. However, one doesn't feel that the place is over-crowded, there is a charm of this place.\n\nThe temple is situated on a big rock a few metres off the coast. During high tide, the access to the rock from mainland is cut by a little water. Unless one wants to get wet in some water that may reach your knees, one may not wish to go to the temple during high tide. During low tide, one can easily go up to the temple as told by one of the locals.\n\nEntry into the core temple area is restricted to local Balinese.\n\nThe temple has many eateries and souvenir joints in vicinity.\nMust visit if coming to Bali. But again, not the best of the temples, with emphasis.
(36) On our last visit to Bali we thought we would check out Tanah Lot, we had previously given it a miss as we had the kids with us and had heard that it was really crowded. \nThey weren't wrong! It was crowded. For me, it took away from what could have been a more enjoyable experience. Bus groups, people trying to sell you things and every photo contained hundreds of others standing in front of the amazing temple taking selfies. \nI'm am glad that I have been and seen it for myself, however if you have an aversion to overcrowded attractions like me, make it a quick visit early in the morning or give it a miss altogether.
(37) After a very long drive in traffic for hours, we finally arrived at the Tanah Lot Temple. What a beautiful sight to see it just kind of hanging on the earth as the sea washed in around it. Sunset was gorgeous, lovely photos taken and not too crowded. Wear sensible walking shoes if you plan to walk on the shore and climb up on the rocks to take photos.
(38) To all visitors and especially to nature lovers: DO NOT MISS VISITING TANAH LOT TEMPLE.\nThis is the place where the fresh holy water is surround by the sea water. You have to check on the tides before visiting this place as you can only visit this place when the tile is low. There will be a hindu (Balinese) priest to bless you with the holy water which is inside the cave. However you are not allowed to enter the temple which is on top of the cave as this is against the rule. This is the place where visitors flock to the site to see the sunset and to get the blessing. \nShopping at this place is cheap if you know how to bargain.
(39) While we were at Tanah Lot it was high tide therefore we could not access the temple. Once the tide lowered we were able to go down and take some nice view photos from the water.\nIt really is a floating temple surrounded by the sea. The let down is that we can't access the temple so its mainly an area for photos only, which wasn't very exciting or culturally interesting.
(40) Nice view of sea from this temple. Since its near to Nusa Dua so water also in deep blue colour which looks good & you can get some nice clicks. entry fee is 30,000 IDR which I can say worthy. I heard Sunset is good here like Tanah Lot but I moved around 5 PM since need to go Padang Padang & Dreamland Beach.
(41) At the end of a hot day tour we reached tanah lot temple. And was very very happy to be under a beautiful sun set and cool sea breeze blowing against our tired faces .the scenery was awe sum . Clicked many great photographs . We cld not go to the temple as the tide was very high . This is the best in Bali .
(42) Can hardly believe this is the first time I've ventured to Tanah Lot. It is definitely worth the visit, 60k each to get in and we went up to one of the many restaurant's overlooking the temple. All provide a good vantage point for pictures but I like the less crowded versions. Recommend you grab some coconut balls from the old ladies on the market street for just 5k their delicious.
(43) Tanah Lot is an offshore rock formation about 30 minutes northwest of Canggu, Bali. Perched on top of it is a Hindu shrine which dates to the 14th century. Travelers flock to Tanah Lot because its one of the most well-known and beautiful places to see the sunset in Bali.\n\nVery! But please dont let that stop you. Most tourists crowd around the temple, leaving the surrounding area fairly empty and perfect for sunset viewing. The whole experience of visiting Tanah Lot is more than just staring at a temple too. Its an exhilarating scooter ride, a gorgeous walk along the coast, and a brilliant sunset.
(44) The view of the temple on the water is spectacular. And everyone who wants to see some bali culture would be advised to visit tanah lot temple. A word of warning .Sunset is THE time to go,and although the distance is only about 20 k from kuta it will take you an hour in heavy traffic. About a 300k return trip ,by taxi.admission 35 k per person . Aim to arrive an hour before sunset to get a good cliff side table at one of the cafes.\nBeers and drinks at reasonable pricess .there are lots of shops there simmilar to the kuta markets.\nI have found the locals very friendly here ,and the shop owners not pushy. it is as good a place as any to see the sunset in bali ,and MUCH cheaper than some other popular sunset spots.
(45) This is truly a must see and the area is kept very well. Visitors can also swim in a couple of areas. There are market stalls just before you enter and a restaurant up top offering good views over the site. At the rear of the restaurant there's also a nice garden where you can smoke.\nNice site to include on a trip to Heaven's Gate (Lempuyang Temple).
(46) We went to see Tanah Lot at sundown with Asia World tours. \nWhen you drive in, there is a massive parking lot full of cars and coaches. I had no idea how big or how busy the area is. There was some kind of arts festival going on when we visited, so I don't know if it was especially busy but the place was heaving...\nThere are several temples here, with the one on a rock the most iconic and what I thought of if someone said 'Bali' before I actually came to the island.\nHowever, the evening we visited the tide was way out beyond the temple, and the beach and surrounding rocks were swarming with people! Not the view I was expecting and I have to say I was rather disappointed. It was very touristy and a million miles from the sacred site I had imagined.\nOh, and make sure you have some small change as you need to pay to use the not very nice toilets!
(47) Aside from the beauty of temple of Tanah Lot, you can also find some shopping places, eatery, and tons of other things to do
(48) Tanah Lot Temple is a big place to walk around. Take your time to walk around and marvel at the rock formations made by erosion. The temple is not the only attraction there. Best time to go is at sunset. Give yourself an hours before sunset to get to the temple to view the sunset. Sunset can be viewed from the beach or the hill above the beach. There are rows of cafe called Sunset Corner, where you and order drinks and finger food while you wait the sunset to bathe the temple in its golden glow from behind.
(49) Tanah lot temple is 1 hr 15 min drive from Kuta. The place is a scenic beauty. There is a temple in the sea. This spot is one of the tourist attraction point and recommended to visit if anyone is visiting bali.
(50) We visited Tanah Lot at sunset (the recommended time of day due to magnificent sunsets) and although the day wasn't yeilding a great sunset, it did not disappoint. We still managed to get some great photos of the sun setting behind the temple.\nThis is a busy area with many tourists so pick yourself a good advantage point for your photos.\nBefore or after the sunset make sure you take a walk along the path on the left to see the other temples and walk out to the temple in the cove while the tide is out.\nYou can even check out attractions at this temple such as the spring of Holy water and perhaps the Holy snake. \nCome a bit early or stay after you have seen the temples if you want some markets as there is quite a large group there for the tourists. I didn't shop there myself so I can't comment on pricing.\nIf you can't make the trip for sunset, don't worry. Although you won't be able to walk out to the temple in the cove, the views are excellent during the day as well and you'll get some beautiful photos.\nOverall, this attraction was worth visiting.
(51) Obvious that this location is keen for the tourist cash with lots of stalls of souvenirs and random paraphernalia between the parking area and the entrance to the temple. No wonder why with the numbers of tourist crowding the walkways and beach area. That being said, the entire area was relatively clean though I did see some dead fish washed up on the beach.\n\nVolcanic rock is quite common to the area and apart from the interesting rock formations, including the one on which Tanah Lot temple sits, the sand is quite dark, almost-black too.\n\nTanah Lot can be accessed at low tide, with the more religious/sacred sections only accessible to practising Hindus. I wasn't there for low tide so could take in the views and the temple from the volcanic sand beach and the designated viewing areas.\n\nIf travelling in the area, maybe worth a visit but given the commercialisation and the lack of opportunity to learn about the history or significance (apart from just seeing the temple), it's not necessarily a must-do for everyone.
(52) Tanah lot I one of my favorite temple in Bali . located on tabanan regency .this temple are very mystical temple and very holy temple dor balinesse people. Most spectacular views when sunset time.also there's spring water beneath of the temple. That Make tanah lot temple is unbelievable .you won't miss out when you came to bali.
(53) An excellent trip and great tour guide with good knowledge. will recommend to anyone who to see sunset. Tanah Lot is a very beautiful temple seen from a far!
(54) First up, expect hordes of tourists. There's no escaping them, especially those from China. Secondly, there're many touts around as well as scammers. \n\nWe were made to queue and receive a 'holy cleansing' for a medium-sized token fee. Needless to say it was a total rip-off. A bigger disappointment was when we weren't allowed to climb to the top of Tanah Lot for the simple reason that it was \closed\"..... Although there were people who were there up top. \n\nRegardless, we took some pretty awesome pictures and had an enjoyable time exploring the whole ground."
(55) To enter the Tanah Lot temples complex require an admission fee of 60k IDR per person and 2k IDR for the motorbike. It's quite nice but, at least when paying a fee, I'd like to visit a clean place. Forget it! You'll see garbage right in front of the temples too. The small island where the Tanah Lot temple is located, is a black big rock, not reachable with high tide but, to be honest, I think that access is always forbidden. The most interesting thing is a nice coffee shop, selling Luwak Coffee, and hosting 3 alive luwaks and 1 alive, enormous, flying fox.
(56) We arrived in the late afternoon but there was cloud cover, but the up side was the tide was out, and we with many other people were able to walk freely to the Tanah Lot Temple what a beautiful spiritual place, on the edge of the ocean, We were very lucky to be blessed by a priest at the temple, with the holy water another story told by out tour guide Ardi the culture of this place is very moving, very special. Its a place you must go to, and if you are lucky as we were the tide will be out, and you can walk over to the temple, and if not just go in the water, its magical..not to be missed..thanks again Ardi ( Bali Honest Driver see trip advisor) for you took us to this special place...
(57) This place is an excellent place to see, don't be in a hurry to get in or out of it though as it is packed with cars, buses and people. We have never seen so many people in one place as this before. There are two temples to see, of course the main one is Tanah Lot Temple. Also there are markets and restaurants to have dinner and watch the sunset.
(58) If you are in Bali visit Tanah Lot for the sunset. Thronged by many tourists this is one of the popular shore temple in Bali. Waves lapping the temple and the sunset makes a beautiful picturesque setting.
(59) Tanah Lot is a beautiful temple surrounded by the tides. A must do if you go to Bali! I would recommend going to the temple to catch the sunrise, as it is truly picturesque to watch the sunset paint the sky behind the temple.
(60) Tanah Lot is beautiful and the waves crashing in towards the coast make the setting spectacular.\n\nDefinitely worth a visit but a word of caution...it get jam packed, so if you can, get there early!
