(1) I have visited Tanah lot temple and its one of the beautiful place I have ever visited. Although it is very crowded. But it's such a beautiful place that you will love to be there and enjoy the scenic views and amazing sunset view. It's a place of scenic views only nothing much to do you can take a walk and click beautiful pictures. There is a line of shops and restaurants you can eat and drink. Not good for shopping as you can get the same things in city markets. So it's a place of relaxation, scenic views and amazing sunset view.
(2) We arrived at Tanah Lot way before everything was open (6:45am) so we waited a while for the ticketing office to start operating at 7am. \n\nSince it was so early in the morning, the shops on the path to the temple were just opening, if not closed (you won't be getting vendors asking you to buy things from them).\n\nIt is very peaceful in the morning and the tide were just slowly coming in. It made a huge difference that there were not many people there, except for a small number of early birds like us and also a few religious men around the temple. \n\nAs the sun was not harshly hot in the morning, we managed to walk around the intertidal area and have a good look at the varieties of seaweed, algae, crabs and sea slugs at the rocky shore. Not forgetting to mention also that the sound of the crashing waves makes for a very serene experience overall. \n\nWe had ample of time to take a bunch of landscape photos and videos without it being peppered by sights of tourists, unlike during sunset which is the peak hour when most tourists arrive.\n\nWe got there by renting a scooter the night before at Seminyak. The roads to Tanah Lot are narrow and very busy, characteristic of most of the roads in Bali. Therefore I don't advice non- seasoned bikers to use this mode of transport as it could be dangerous. But it is a bonus if you could manage one as a small motorbike parking fee and entrance fee is all there is to get to this beautiful place.
(3) We travelled from Nusa Dua to Tanah Lot Temple with a driver and it took about 45 minutes. \n\nThe scenery is amazing! there were a lot of people when we went but they had a festival on so it was super busy. \n\nThere were good markets at the top near the car park which you had to walk through to get to temples.\n\nThe temples were so beautiful .. we went at low tide so we could walk across the rocks to the base of one of the temples. you couldn't enter the temples themselves but you could see them from the outside and take lots of happy snaps. \n\nThe two temples are in walking distance from each other but its a must do. \n\nThe cost to via is approx. $6 each adult and $0.50 per car.
(4) One of the main spots in Bali. If you are in Bali and dont visit Tanah Lot is like you are not in Bali. The place is clean and very beautiful.
(5) Tanah lot temple is a worth site to visit.\n\nAlways busy and best to go is to watch the sunset in Tanah Lot. Best moment.\n\nYou can have a fresh coconut water here and fresh grill corn. They sell local snack as well.
(6) Tourists visit Tanah Lots can enjoy the Temple view in the middle of the sea. Tourists can take pictures also there. Drink Holly water and see a holly snake in the cave. Traveller can also playing surf waves over the see.
(7) This was meant to be the last leg of my day tour and we almost missed it, mostly because I was waiting for the mist on Lake Bratan to go away (it did not).\nSo we hurried towards Tanah Lot as fast as we could all the way from Bratan, and I gave a deadline of 6.16 pm to the driver, since thats when the sun was setting on that day.\n\nThankfully we got there a few minutes ahead of schedule and quickly nestled ourselves in a decent spot for the view of the sunset. Suffice to say I wasnt disappointed. Post sunset we moved up the road to the other end and waited for the bat exodus that occurs everyday after sunset. That was some view alright..\n\nNow about the place itself, it was very crowded, and seemed very touristy ( Yeah I see the irony in that, very typical). But other than that, I think the place makes for a great view of the sunset, and you don't need to be done yet, because right outside the temple you will find a sizeable market with hordes of shops selling their wares, from clothes and wood carvings to trinkets and souvenirs. ( Don't forget to bargain- unless you are in one of those fixed price shops). \nP.s the entry is a bit expensive, so make sure you've got that covered. (60k IDR per Adult and 30k IDR per child) Parking charges extra if your Tour package does'nt cover that, or have your own mode of transport.
(8) Tanah Lot Temple on seashore is a great sunset view location.\n\nVisiting here and looking to the sea makes you feel calm and fresh, and you enjoy the natural beauty.\n\nWe enjoyed the sunset and the sound of waves made us feel very close to the nature.\n\nAlthough its a good place to enjoy the nature but you need to be safe by not going near to the sea as the waves are strong and there is a risk of getting hurt..\n\nOne can easily spend 2-3 hours here and a must visit location on trip to Bali.....
(9) First of all, the temple was unique and amazing, definitely a must go in Bali. You can cross the sea to be nearer to the temple base but you are not allowed to go up the temple. Wear shorts if you plan to cross over as the sea level will reach up to your knee level. Also, I think they only allow you to cross over at certain timing, when i cross over is around noon time. \n\nBesides, there are a lot of vendors before you reach the temple selling shirts, souvenir and foods thus you can do a little shopping too if you are interested.\n\nThe only bad, very bad experience indeed was with the local driver (at Tanah Lot specifically). As me and my Fiance took a one way ride to Tanah Lot, we try to call UBER to get back to our Hotel. While we are waiting for our UBER near the entrance there are a few local driver spot us and asked whether we need transport, we rejected politely and they ask whether we are using UBER or GRAB, innocently we say YES (and that's the worst mistake ever). After they know we are getting an UBER they block the access of our UBER car and chase our UBER car away and force us to use their car which is 3-4 times higher than what UBER charge me, yes insane indeed. They are like Gangster and talk no sense, I was so furious that I refuse to sit their car and started walking to the bigger main road. Anyway in the end, luckily we met another driver that charge more reasonably and we quickly get off that area.\n\nSo my tips is don't book a one way drive to Tanah Lot as it is hard to get Taxi (with reasonable price). Use Uber or Grab in Bali and you will save a lot BUT never tell the local driver that you are using Uber, just tell them you booked a local driver already will be sufficient. \n\nHappy Holiday !
(10) The view during sunset at the Tanah Lot Temple was a nice experience and our whole family enjoyed it a lot. Its a short walk from the parking and the walkway is full of vendors selling clothes, bags, accessories and food. Its better to buy some of the Bali souvenir here as this place is a lot cheaper than the Ubud Market which is priced 10 times more than here.
(11) Among the famous temple sites in Bali. Nevertheless, what Bali does offer is numerous temples with its local tradition and rules, it is just the natural architecture of rocks and sea around Tanah Lot temple which makes it a crowd-puller. Touts swarm the area and on days of low-tide when you anticipate you could go to the temple top, you are forced to follow bogus rituals and then restricted to venture much further at the end, making it all pomp and show for nothing. You have money milching \Babajis\" almost compelling you to donate at the foothills of main temple during low tide and at the snake cave opposite the main temple rock. As a result, the place is neither one with religiously devotional vibe, nor full fun and adventure. Yet, if you travel to this corner of Bali, you could get the glimpse of natural beauty carved with sea and stone on the surrounding cliffs. Bring change money in IDR, should you plan yo enter every \"sacred\" area."
(12) My favorite moment to visit Tanah Lot was before sunset... and just sit, waiting for the sunset at batu bolong temple, which millions of bats going out from the cave where we were sit. The sound of wave, the sunset and the bats' sound, that is magnificent show!!
(13) We visited many temples during our visit to Indonesia, Tanah Lot was one my favorite places in Bali. The location can be very crowded at times with hundreds of tourists visiting the area.\n\nEnjoy a beautiful sunset from the seating areas located short distance from entrance, up the hill from the temple.
(14) Tanah Lot Temple was a good outing. The water level was low while we there, and we could actually walk to the temple. The little shops and restaurants en-route to the temple were charming. A good outing
(15) Tanah Lot is beautiful. We hired a driver to take us there and he dropped us off then went to park. We had to pay a small fee to get into the complex (I think it was 20k IDR per person) and walk through a market to get down to the water. Anything you see at the market can be found in other street markets for half the price. The temple itself is beautiful. Go early to avoid the crowds. I won't describe it to you, you should go and experience it.
(16) Tanah Lot was one of the main reasons we went to Bali, my wife had seen photos a while ago and we added to our holiday bucket list. We are both in to temples and we like to have a reason to go somewhere. Bali was not somewhere I had thought about much until my wife mentioned the temple. I found it far more interesting than I expected.\n\nWe planned to go to Tanah Lot twice, once at low tide and once for sunset but we ended going 3 times. The third time in a helicopter!\n\nOur first visit was part of a days private sight seeing and timed with low tide. We stayed around 4 hours (longer than planned), walked around the base of the temple (as with most temples in Bali, foreign tourists are not allowed inside), took lots of photos, shopped for souvenirs and had a photo with an albino python. We found the cost of the souvenirs reasonable compared to other attractions. The cost of the photo with the snake was expensive.\n\nOur second visit was for sunset. The sunset was not so good but the experience was nice. We have an early dinner at the very end restaurant on the Sunset Terrace washed down with a cold beer. I cannot remember the name of the restaurant but the food was OK.\n\nWe had looked at booking a helicopter tour prior to our visit to Bali but had decided it was too expensive. After arriving we changed our minds and made a last minute booking. So glad we did. This was our third visit to Tanah Lot and a excellent way to see the temple.\n\nTanah Lot is a major tourist attraction so expect crowds. The journey to the temple can be slow so be prepared. Is it worth going, yes, very much so. Explore the surrounding area. Chilling out on the cliff top and at one the restaurants really added to our visit. Explore the market, there are some really interesting things; for example, a pet bat and a couple of pet Kopi luwaks.
(17) As for Tanah Lot it's the trip that makes the day!\nBusy road, as always to and from \tourist\" places, and there's only tourist places in Bali!\nBut that's why you go there, no?\nLess stalls than Tanah Lot which is all for the better!\nAnd here again, the scenery is very nice, but in the park .... beware for the apes as in Ubud monkey forest.\nSee the cliff, make the picture (please please no selfies = so narcissic and psychologically disturbed!)\nThen head off to nearby beaches Uluatu beach and Padang Padang with its impressive stair access through a rock corridor!"
(18) Tanah Lot has a beautiful sunset view. Be there between 645 to 710 pm to see the sun setting. The area is well maintained. The day we were there, it was not too crowded.
(19) Tanah Lot is one of those places that always looks so stunningly beautiful in all the photos; to be there in the flesh made me appreciate the temple even more, however, I could not fathom how busy it was whilst I was there.\n\nAlthough marvellous, now that I've been there once, I wouldn't want to traipse through the crowds to return there again unless there was some special reason to.
(20) Visits to the Tanah Lot Temple are subject to an entrance fee of IDR 20,000 for (adult) domestic tourists, and IDR 60,000 for (adult) foreigners.\n\nIDR 10,000 for (child) domestic tourists, and IDR 30,000 for (child) foreigners.\nThis ticket also insured you against any accidents at the site.\n\nThere are many restaurants here where you can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast or lunch.\nExperience the serenity of the tropical sun slowly disappearing beyond the horizon and the wide open ocean, and listen to the sound of the soothing waves crashing on the shore. It will be an incredible memory to treasure all your life.\n\nA temple dedicated to Lord “Brahma”.\nOne of the top 7 temples in Bali, this is a must visit Temple.\n\nAlthough its quite old,the Balinese govt has tried to restore it to its original Valour by taking out works from time to time.\nWould recommend going to this place at early hours to mind the long tourist crowd and also note the timings of high tide,as the visit is then closed.\n\nThere is a natural spout, the source of holy water for all the temples in the area just below the rock where temple is situated.
(21) I can see why so many people would flock to Tanah Lot by night to secure that insta perfect sunset photo, but I had heard that the crowds detract from this experience. I opted to visit early afternoon and had a wonderful time. The car park was near empty, I could easily walk around the entire area at my leisure and still marvelled at the beauty. Well worth the visit!
(22) Out of all the temples we have visited, Tanah Lot charges 60,000 IDR compared to 30,000 IDR for other major temples we visited.\n\nIt was a bit of a disappoint for 60,000 IDR because there were other temples that offered better scenery for 30,000 IDR.
(23) Be prepared for big crowds. Tanah Lot temple is gorgeous and unmissable and worth braving all the other visitors. The site is very commercial and convenient. There is a big street market with souvenirs, food, clothes, art, and much else. There are also many cliff top cafes with great views of the temple.
(24) My tour driver told me that for those coming to Bali it is a must to visit one of their most sacred and majestic temple,Tanah Lot temple. So much history and culture can be found there. I stayed here till sunset and the view is just amazing!
(25) Visited Tanah Lot some 20 Years ago, and was back the first time sine then with my family.\n\nTanah Lot is still as beautiful and spectacular as it was then, but it has unfortunately become so much touristic, that it almost isn't worth a visit.\n\nBe advised that You'll have to walk by numerous vendors selling everything for tourists, and its almost like you have to walk through a labyrinth to get to the actual temple, and be warned that if you go there to se the sunset, you will not be alone, the place will be crowded, yes even overcrowded
(26) If you don't like crowds, this is a better option than Tanah Lot. Just a small charge to visit, but no extra charge for sarongs.
(27) Tanah Lot Temple is a most fascinating place. We visited on a Hindu celebration day so many many people were there. There are several very picturesque vistas in the temple area as well as the opportunity to touch one of their 'holy snakes' as well as to see another snake handler (albino python).
(28) Nice attraction for family vacation. It's very huge with few sorts of temples. The traditional market after the entrance sells Balinese products, which nice for souvenirs. It's always busy even on low season, but the best time to visit is when the sea level is low, so more spots to walk, and can come near the Tanah Lot temple. Now it has more parking lot, and better walkways for baby carriage or wheel chair. It's one of the busiest tourist spots visited by locals and foreigners.
(29) Got to say if you are in Bali Tanah Lot temple - you must visit, temple wasn't the main feature in my opinion, the sunset and sea waves made it one of the beautiful sites you'll see.\nLoads of mini market stalls and food. FYI free toilet inside the market.
(30) I visited Tanah Lot last year with my son and both enjoyed our visit here. This year my wife and her friend wanted to go on a trip to see some more of Bali. So I booked our driver Raya for the day. I took us first to a tea / coffee plantation to sample the local coffee, cat poo in English. Then off to see the amazing sites of Tanah Lot temple. They were both in awe of the temple and views. Well worth a visit here.
(31) The setting of the Tanah Lot temple just off the coast is quite dramatic!\n\nWe went there in July 2015 with our two young kids aged 4 and 6. As we went there during low tide, we were able to walk across to the temple and get blessed by the priests there. This make it more interesting than just admiring the temple from the coast. So if there is one suggestion I could offer, it would be to visit the temple during low tide.\n\nFor our full review on Bali, visit Our Travel Story blog at ourtravelstory.com.
(32) Tanah Lot offers one of the most spectacular sunsets in Bali because of the temple silhouette against the pink and purple sky. It'll cost you 60 000 entrance fee and you will need to negotiate through a vast array of tourist stalls on your entrance and exit but ultimately all worth it. Get yourself a spot and watch nature provide an amazing light show as only she can do. You'll need to pay for parking too if you arrive on a scooter as we did.
(33) We were recommended to visit Tanah Lot. I think we were a little underwhelmed. The kids ages 5 and 6 were bored. You cant actually get into the temple and there were people everywhere. Im sure watching the sunset is lovely but we left prior to it setting. Depends what you are looking for I guess.
(34) Basically anywhere in Bali will be a great sunset, but Tanah Lot was another level. You can go right down to the water. But PLEASE, take your eyes off of your cameras and selfie sticks out of your hands and ENJOY it!! Seriously, as the the sun set, a huge group of bats flew out and I'm pretty sure that only 3 other people noticed because everyone else was stuck in picture mode. (I took pics too, but I think you take a few and move on, enjoy it!) I wish I had gotten their earlier to explore more before the sun went down. REALLY touristy outside of the temple.
(35) Very crowded but beautiful though. I am not sure which is the best time of the year to visit Tanah Lot Temple as it is one of the major attraction in Bali
(36) Tanah lot looks like a dream, although it is over-rated. I went there twice and there wasn't a sunset during both visits (nobody's fault). Temple aside, I enjoyed the shopping experience at the numerous shops near the temple itself. The crowd at the temple gets massive during the sunset period, as they are all waiting to cross the water to get to the other part of the temple. I would suggest that you give that part a miss if you can't stand the crowd; I skipped it during both visits and it seemed like I didn't miss anything at all.
(37) One of must visit attraction while in Bali. But some of people just leave their empty bottle of water or snack all over the spot in Tanah Lot . One of Beautiful place in Bali and let's help to maintain it clean. Long walk till the temple. Wear hat on summer and not recommend to visit on rainy day.
(38) Tanah lot was an absolute delight. The view is breathtaking and the architecture makes its so beautiful. Its a great tourist spot. It's a temple but tourists are not allowed inside so you can enjoy the view from below. Must visit when in Bali.
(39) We took an organised tour with a driver and a guide and visited one other temple and the monkey forest along the way. Tanah Lot itself is fantastic especially at sunset and low tide as this allows access to the perimeter . Our guide was from Asia World Indonesia, he was a wealth of knowledge and charming.
(40) First things first: this is one of the busiest tourist sights in Bali - it was heaving with visitors!\nWe were fortunate that the tide was out so we could go down onto the causeway for photos.\nIt's certainly different and of great importance in the religious history of Bali.\nOnce you leave the causeway and go up the steps, you are in the 'shopping for souvenirs' area - and this is also packed. At the shops, you're expected to haggle - so do so, it's fun!\nNaturally masses of tour buses and taxis make their way there daily, so traffic on the way is somewhat hectic.\n We had been taken by Nyoman Tholey of Emly Bali Tour his own business. He was an excellent guide and driver and I strongly recommend his tour business.\nAs for Tanah Lot - yes it is of interest.
(41) We can enjoy the new look of Tanah lot with high comfortability and best view about Watu Bolong, and the nearer parking area to the beach. Also we get the other best of Sunset
(42) On a recent trip to Bali we were recommended to see Tanah Lot and we werent dissappointed, stuck out in the indian ocean is this stunning temple, built on a huge rock and only accesible at low tide. Its always very busy with lots of tourists but thats not surprising, it jaw dropping when stood in front of it.
(43) THe Tanah Lot Temple is definitely a must do on your trip to Bali. It is quite an amazing place, set out in the sea. Don't forget to go and see and rub the Holy Snake, down in the cave before the sea. There are many stalls to make your Bali purchases with very good prices, along with some cafes for drinks and food. You will need to book a driver and this can be done through your hotel or villa resort without any problem.
(44) Tanah Lot Temple is absolutely beautiful. There are hundreds of different places to take pictures, you can be blessed by the monks (be sure to make a donation for their blessing) and in the evening the sunset and kecak dance is beautiful.\n\nNow, the downside.\nTo get to the temple you park in a massive parking area surrounded by standard tourist trap souvenir stands. After entering the temple grounds you now are encased in a mob of tourists all shopping in the hundreds of standard tourist trap souvenir stands. Once you make it past the hundreds of people hawking those souvenirs you come to the gate and steps down to the temple area....where there are more people hawking toys, pictures with snakes etc.\nMy recommendation is to make your way through the insanity to the warungs on the left side after you get down the steps. There is a small coffee shop with a fruit bat and some civets (the cats that eat the coffee beans that get pooped out and made into coffee).\nBeyond that are the warungs, tons of seating, tons of space, different angled views of the temple and perfect for relaxing while watching the sunset.
(45) Having been romanced several times by the beauty of Tanah Lot I thought it was time to see the other famous temple of Uluwatu. What a complete non event!!! Do not waste your time going there!! Yes there is a dramatic cliff over the ocean but that's it. No beautiful temple, just swarms of tourists and aggressive monkeys. \nThere is no OHS here! Walking along the cliff path, past the walled section, you are just a metre in some places from dropping into the sea. Terrifying with small children - be warned!! \nI would love to say this was a great place to visit but save yourself the long traffic jammed drive. There is simply nothing to see that outstrips so many other beautiful vantage points in Bali. If you want a temple experience, make the pilgrimmage to Tanah Lot for the sunset instead.
(46) One of the directional temples in Bali it located just offshore on a Rock. One of the best tourist attractions in Bali and a Bali trip cannot be deemed complete without paying a vist to Tanah Lot. Best time to Visit is during sunset and watch the Fire dance.
(47) Sightseeing Tanah Lot, Bali, is one of the famous tourist attraction with beautiful sunset. Usually tourists will come to Tanah Lot Temple in the afternoon before sunset. While waiting for the sunset of the tourists can do various activities such as capture the moment with photos, tour around the park, or just sitting around enjoying the wind blowing around Enjung Galuh or Sunset Terrace.
(48) Ok, so you've probably read/heard about Tanah Lot when deciding to visit Bali. You've read/heard all about the hype, you are thinking about the throngs of people that will be there, and you're wondering if a temple such as this is worth the hype.\n\nYes, it is.\n\nThe complex is fairly big, and actually comprises six temples, namely (1) Tanah Lot, (2) Jero Kandang, (3) Enjung Galuh, (4) Batu Bolong, (5) Batu Mejan, and (6) Luhur Pekendungan, all along the shore, spread out at least a good 200-400m apart from each other. Take your time to walk about and to explore each of the six temples, as each has something different to offer. The entry ticket covers the entire complex.\n\nOutside of the main temple complex, where the parking lots are, and on the pathways leading to the temple complex, there are numerous stalls selling foods/drinks and souvenirs. Fairly reasonably priced though as always, trying to score a bargain never hurts at touristy places such as this.
(49) Tanager Lot is located in a setting of stunning beauty. I'm not sure of the religious significance of the temple. We were unable to visit the temple itself, as the tide was in and the path under water. Even so, this was the highlight of our trip to Bali. The views were simply amazing.\n\nIf you must visit the temple itself, make sure to check tide times. Also, it's best to go as early as possible because it gets crowded by mid-morning with tour buses.
(50) A renowned Bali icon, Tanah Lot is a great way to spend an afternoon, or evening if you want to include the amazing sunset views & kecak fire dance show. I spent a fantastic 4 hours exploring all the temples in the complex, including the Tanah Lot Temple, plus the huge surrounding market area. It is probably best to hire a car with driver or include it in a tour, however if you want to get a taxi, unlike Uluwatu, there is the option of getting a return taxi after you've finished. It is quite spectacular coastline and the lower the tide the better chance to walk, or wade, across to the base of the Temple. Afterwards, explore the massive market area. There are plenty of restaurants & coffee shops, plus shops & stalls selling everything tourist. Perhaps save your tourist shopping until you get here, as you will generally find most stuff cheaper here (the same stuff) than in the main tourist centres of Kuta & Legian and it's all in one spot - it's huge! It was also a great experience meeting people from all over, enjoying their day out! Try a Luwak coffee with the wonderful staff at the Gloria Jeans coffee shop too. A wonderfully friendly bunch of young locals who epitomise what Bali is all about - happy smiles & friendly people.
(51) The very first time I visited Tanah Lot, it was in 2012. At that time, it was high tide. I enjoyed the scenery a lot. The second time I went, it was on 24 September 2016. It was low tide. I saw a green field beside the Tanah Lot temple. On closer inspection, it was a field of seaweed! I went there to explore, and found quite a number of different species of seaweed. There were also large crabs on the rocks, and small fish in the pools of seawater. Small birds flew in flocks and landed on the seaweed field to feed. Meanwhile, the waves crashed on the rocky beach. For a nature lover like me, it was a real treat. From the seaweed field, I could see the 'back view' of the Tanah Lot temple on it's rocky perch.
(52) I have visited Tanah Lot three times. Each successive visit I recall seeing more and more people. Lots of touristy sales ongoing and it is impossible to get a good photo because it is so crowded. It is worth a visit just to take a look at the scenic construction of a temple on a cliff, but don't expect to be very impressed given the uncomfortable numbers of people visiting this place. I fear for the ecology and the environmental consequences if tourism continues to bring more people there. Walk to the right end of the temple to enjoy a great view of the headlands
(53) It is a very nice temple, nothing to argue about that. We had heard a lot about it on the internet, but we did not find the place as amazing as it is said to be.\n\nDont get me wrong, its a beautiful place, but if you have to make decisions about which places to visit, I would skip this one and go to Tanah lot.
(54) We went here in the afternoon (around 2 pm) to avoid the crowds that come here for the sunset. The place was not crowded at all and the views were amazing (waves hiting the rocks creating a beautiful fog around the sunlit cliffs). I imagine that the sunset is beautiful too, but taking into consideration the previous comments regarding the crowds, I would recommend trying an afternoon trip to Tanah Lot.
(55) Loved tanah lot temple, watched sunset in a very special part of the word. Our group enjoyed a seafood dinner on cliff overlooking the ocean, the view was amazing. There is a large market there also but you can avoid it if you just want to enjoy the scenery. Not the best toilets ive seen but it was the only negative.
(56) We visited as a couple in Nov 2014 when its was a little bit cloudy but as in Tanah Lot we could get sunset glimpse just for 2 minutes. \nIts location on the tall cliff surrounded by beautiful blue sea with gushing waves sound adds to drama. There is an entry fee and we must wear sarong or clothes to cover our knees.\nNo one is allowed in innercore area of temple which is open only during festivals and prayers for locals.\nCool for wedding potrait pics from cliff.\nCareful about monkeys as they appear friendly but take away glasses, camera etc.\nWe did not opt for the Dance show which is nice to watch. Nothing to shop much around.
(57) A definite must do is the sunset at Tanah Lot. There are markets on they way in if you are after some shopping bargains. Can get crowded and there is a rush to exit once the sun has set but overall a great experience.
(58) Tanah lot is one famous tourist spot for its sunset beauty. The place is really crowded during the evenings so always try to go early and spend some time here before you can watch over the beautiful sunset. There are lots of shopping spots in the path to this place. Photos were beautiful here. Must visit place of Bali.
(59) Absolutely stunning. The view is spectacular and the Life guards do an amazing job trying to keep people safe. There are men who are willing to take your photograph in front of Tanah Lot Temple and print it then and there in a frame. A lovely variety of restaurants to eat lunch, and you are able to do a splash of shopping.
(60) Hello travellers,\n\nCurrently in Bali for a 14 days of fun but apparently one afternoon has spoiled when visiting Tana Lot temple.\n\nIt is said that the sunset is great as the background of the manificent floating temple but: the traffic was really bad when I went there on 28 April. Does it always happened? It seemed like all the way up there filled up by motor vehicles. Not a very good start when you are in tight schedule to see natural show.\n\nAlso the road near changu area was horrible I can see my driver's stressful sweat when carefully driving me there. So many people on bikes cutting our car course but lucky my driver is experienced enough in this situation.\n\nThe sunset was great even it was dark when we arrived. A little bit cloudy but that's fine.\n\nCannot rate the place as excellent though.
